My first Bonsmaras were bought in 1994 from Wesson van Rensburg. The adaptability of the Bonsmaras to different circumstances made me expand my herd. At several dispersal sales I have obtained top genetic material. Accurate records have always been kept. We have always purchased the best bulls with which to improve our herd. Females are the heart of a herd and are always selected to breed excellent adaptability and fertility.In 2014 I decided to register my herd and +-300 females were registered as appendix A. To further strengthen the genetics, I purchased 33 females from Peter and Brett Knott as well as 43 females from JJ Park at the dispersal of their herds.
The cattle currently run on harsh red water, heart water and gallsicknes veld in the Highlands region near Grahamstown as well as in Paterson and Riebeeck-East.
All calves are weaned onto sourveld and approved cattle should be able to adapt anywhere.
Our whole family is passionate about the Bonsmaras. With everyone’s involvement we endeavor, with the help of our Heavenly Father, to take our stud to greater heights
